Durban and The Drakensburg Mountains

Featured Tour:
Durban is known as the ‘resort of South Africa’. It has an amazing climate and great beaches – the perfect place to head for in June. However, outside the buzz of the city centre and coast, lie two very different attractions. Firstly, the Battlefields, location of the many battles that took place between the Boers, the British and the Zulus including the Battle of Blood River and Rorke’s Drift.
And no mean second are the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains, or 'Ukhahlamba' (the Barrier of Spears), a 200-kilometre-long mountainous wonderland and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This utterly stunning range of mountains is unlike any other on earth and offers majestic surroundings in which to enjoy gentle walks, Bushmen rock paintings, strenuous hikes, horse-riding and boating. There is also the option to traverse the famous Sani Pass, to the highest pub in Africa in Lesotho!
