Nelspruit is the closest major town to the world famous Kruger National Park, sanctuary to over 700 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. Our tours here include specific trips focusing solely on this incredible area’s wildlife. We spend time in the main park and also in Timbavati Game Reserve which, being a private reserve, offers more opportunities for varied and close-up encounters with the Big Five. Here we not only enjoy 4WD game drives but night drives and exciting walking safaris (once experienced, never forgotten!). A very special feature of our camp here is the treehouse, which is set approximately two kilometres away from the main camp and overlooks a dam. You are dropped off at the tree house after dinner and collected in the morning. A spotlight is provided to allow you to watch for any animals coming to drink at the waterhole during the night.
In addition to the area’s prolific wildlife it also boasts the incredible scenic Blyde River Canyon. This breathtaking gorge is the largest green canyon in the world offering spectacular views from the Three Rondavels viewpoint and God’s Window as well as the intriguing rock formations of Bourke's Luck Potholes.
