Adventure travellers who are looking to get away from it all should consider visiting one of the wilderness areas in Western Australia. Ben Briggs, brand manager at Austravel, revealed that the state is "full of extraordinary landscapes and unique experiences". He explained that one place people should certainly visit is Kimberley, where they will be able to have a true wilderness adventure. "It's one of the last great wilderness areas and has fewer people per square kilometre than almost any place on earth," Mr Briggs stated.
Travellers going on Australian holidays have been urged to try the "multicultural" cuisine on offer. In an article for e-Travel Blackboard, John Alwyn-Jones claimed that the country has "the best meat in the world [and] most amazing range of fish". Mr Alwyn-Jones pointed out that people on holidays in Australia can have their pick of worldwide foods, including Chinese, Greek and Thai. He also noted the country’s love of seafood and the wide selection on offer. One particular outlet he recommended for people visiting Cairns is Dundee's.
Adventure travellers with a particular fondness for the beach may want to take their next holiday in Australia. Gail Kavanagh, writing for Helium, said that the beach, which is located in Port Douglas, Queensland, is dreamlike and has all of the elements which make a perfect beach. "This incredible stretch of white sand, azure ocean and tropical greenery is the stuff of dreams," she stated. As well as enjoying 4 Mile Beach, adventure travellers can also visit the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
