There is lots for adventure travellers to discover in Mexico, according to one travel publication. Wanderlust picked the country as its destination of the month and gave some tips for those heading off on adventure holidays to Mexico. The magazine commented that "the lakes and volcanic hills of Michoacan are another world" and noted that the Sea of Cortex is "one of the planet's richest marine feeding grounds".
Adventure travellers keen to explore life in the ocean should head to Belize, where they can enjoy wonderful scuba diving experiences and see a variety of marine creatures. Somaya Reece, a rapper, radio personality and actress wrote in an article for SOHH.com that Belize and Cebu in the Philippines are her two favourite destinations. Speaking on the central American nation, Reece said that it was the inspiration for Madonna's 1987 hit single La Isla Bonita and that she loves every aspect of it.
Adventure travellers keen to experience wonderful scuba diving experiences should head to Ecuador's Galapagos Islands or Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Self-confessed 'travel addict' Nellie Huang said on her Wild Junket blog that both regions are among the top diving locations in the world, with Australia's Great Barrier Reef also featuring in her list. Commenting on the Yucatan Peninsula, she stated that there are various underwater caves - known as cenotes - which offer a great experience.
