Community-centred travellers should try Spain

British imaginative explorers who love nothing more than to immerse themselves in the local surroundings and community while they are away might be interested in a Europe tour to Spain.

According to flight comparison service Skyscanner, the country is the top Britophile nation and has flights into the UK from Spain were found to be extremely popular.

In addition, the firm stated that Poland is in second place in the rankings, perhaps due to the large number of Poles who have moved to Britain in the last decade.

Portugal, France, Japan, Greece and Italy were also featured in the top ten list.

Barry Smith, the company's co-founder and development director, commented: "Skyscanner's data shows that the Spanish, Poles, Germans and Italians are the biggest fans of the UK."

Imaginative travellers could find the results of the research to be particularly inspiring - as those heading out on adventure or small group holidays who want to meet the local community may receive an especially friendly welcome in these countries.
