Your first encounter with the wildlife of southern Africa comes when you visit the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This forms one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world and offers some of the continent's best game-viewing.

Your tour continues in Swaziland where you’ll meet local artisans skilled in the age-old tradition of glassblowing.

Southern African Odyssey

You’ll spend time interacting with local people at a craft market before heading into Zululand to learn more of the customs and culture of the proud Zulu people.

Never too far away from wildlife, you will then experience a full-day game drive in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park, in search of the endangered white rhino. Further game drives in Addo Elephant National Park ensure unforgettable experiences with Africa's wildlife!

You will walk amidst the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains to view the rock paintings of the San Bushmen and walk the beginning of the famous Otter Trail in Tsitsikamma National Park - the most renowned hiking trail in the country. You can then choose from a range of adrenaline-fuelled activities to get your heart racing. But if you’re not an adrenaline junkie, just kick back and relax on a glorious sandy beach and watch an African sunset.

You will have plenty of opportunity to see the coast of this incredible part of the world. You’ll explore pristine stretches of coast and seaside towns on the Garden Route. A real treat is a visit to the underground wonderland of the Cango Caves plus you can get up close and personal to the giant ostrich.

Making your way into the beautiful Western Cape, you can sample the world famous wines the region is famous for. Of course, no tour of South Africa would be complete without a visit to captivating Cape Town, cradled between Table Mountain and the expansive Atlantic Ocean.

The Gariep River cuts a green swathe forming the natural border between South Africa and Namibia. This is a country that will create incredible memories - from the size and majesty of Fish River Canyon to the breathtaking sand dunes of the Namib-Naukluft National Park – you will experience the true essence of this beautiful country. Swakopmund, the adrenaline centre of the country, provides a stark contrast to the surreal feel and spirit of Spitzkoppe.

As you continue north, Namibia’s beauty will take your breath away as you cross the beautiful scenery of Damaraland and witness the wildlife of Etosha National Park. Leaving Namibia through the fertile north you will enter the marvellous wetlands of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Here you will have a great opportunity to experience true wilderness and you can explore the game-rich areas of Chobe National Park and the Chobe River.

As you near the end of your South African safari tour you reach Zambia and Zimbabwe. Here you will visit the awesome and inspirational power of Victoria Falls. As you travel through Zimbabwe animal viewing opportunities abound at Hwange National Park and Antelope Park at Gweru. Here we can get up really close to the wildlife as this is the place where we get to walk with lions!

Finally Zimbabwe's rich cultural history unfurls when you visit the largest man-made structure in sub-Saharan Africa - the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. Watching the sunset here provides a fitting climax to your time in Zimbabwe.

The final leg of your journey sees you re-entering South Africa. A return visit to Kruger National Park and the beautiful Blyde River Canyon calls before you finally reach Pretoria/Johannesburg to end your brilliant and highlight-filled safari.
