his is a slightly shorter version of the ‘Rajasthan Safari' tour.

During your holiday in India, you will cover all the main highlights of this colourful Indian state, showcasing its rich cultural heritage.

Throughout your travels you will be immersed in this incredible country by spending four nights in historic heritage hotels that have retained all the charm and romance from a bygone era.

Your incredible journey through India will take in many enchanting cities, see you riding camels into the Thar Desert, visit the lovely lakeside city of Udaipur and wander through a remote Bhenswara village.

Trip Itinerary

  1. Day 1(Sun) Arrive in Delhi and transfer to hotel.
  1. Day 2Tour of Delhi. Overnight sleeper train to Jodhpur.
  1. Day 3Drive to the small heritage hotel of Chandelao Garh. Here we can interact with the local community and learn about Rajasthani life. Afternoon jeep safari to the surrounding villages.
  1. Day 4Travel to the ‘Blue City’ of Jodhpur. Visit Meherangarh Fort.
  1. Day 5Drive into the Thar Desert and enjoy a camel safari. Spend a night in the desert in a beautiful tented camp.
  1. Day 6-7We cross the desert to the magical ‘Golden City’ of Jaisalmer. Within the fortress walls are cobbled streets strewn with stunning palaces and Jain temples.
  1. Day 8Drive through rarely-visited areas of Rajasthan to Bhenswara. Optional evening leopard safari.
  1. Day 9Drive to visit the beautiful Jain temples of Ranakpur.
  1. Day 10-11Drive via Kumbalgarh Fort to the beautiful ‘White City’ of Udaipur - arguably the most stunning of Rajasthani cities. Morning tour of the intricate palaces and temples.
  1. Day 12Drive to the small village of Jojawar and spend the night in the beautifully-restored Rawla Jojawar.
  1. Day 13-14Travel to Pushkar - a desert oasis town on a holy lake, full of pilgrims and temples.
  1. Day 15Continue to Jaipur - the ‘Pink City’. Afternoon excursion to nearby Amber Fort perched on a hilltop outside town.
  1. Day 16Enjoy an orientation tour of Jaipur, with its many palaces including the famous facade - the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds).
  1. Day 17Drive to Agra via the abandoned ancient Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri.
  1. Day 18Visit the Taj Mahal. Return to Delhi on evening express train.
  1. Day 19Trip ends in Delhi this morning (Thu).
