Few places in the world offer travellers history, culture and the great wonders of the world. Your tour of the Middle East (covering Egypt, Jordan and Syria) will highlight the regions rich and complex past as you marvel at the history of the Pharaohs, Assyrians, Nabataeans, Greeks, Romans and Turks.
Your adventure holiday begins with a visit to Cairo where you will see the Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum as well as spending a day exploring the medieval city. Further south you will see all the highlights of Luxor and enjoy a relaxing four-night Nile River cruise.
You will then see the sunrise from the summit of Mount Sinai.
Ancient Empires
Crossing over to Jordan you will explore Wadi Rum and discover ancient Petra. Your exploration of the Roman city of Jerash is a fitting preamble for the basalt city of Bosra, the fabulous desert capital of Palmyra and the city of Apamea.
When you reach Damascus and Aleppo you will visit the major sights and browse the wonderful medieval bazaars. A jewel in the crown of your journey is the formidable fortress of Krak des Chevaliers - considered the greatest Crusader castle ever built.

- Day 4Visit Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon.
- Day 5-6Sail to Aswan. Visit Edfu and Komombo Temples.
- Day 7Free day in Aswan. Optional visit to Abu Simbel. Sleeper train to Cairo.
- Day 8Arrive Cairo. Visit Gayer-Anderson Museum, Ibn Tulun Mosque and Khan al-Khalili bazaar.
- Day 9-10Drive to the Sinai. Optional ascent of Mount Sinai. Hydrofoil to Aqaba.
