Breathtaking scenery, mesmerising culture and the sun-worshipping Inca civilisation Leaving behind the exceptional Spanish architecture and colonial charm of Lima, we journey by plane over the soaring peaks of the Andes to the old Inca capital of Cusco. We explore the rich and compelling archaeological heritage of Cusco, the massive ceremonial site of Sacsayhuaman and the beautiful Sacred Valley before our Inca trek to Machu Picchu. Venturing further eastward, on Lake Titicaca we enjoy cultural exchange during our island homestay with an Indian community before traversing the Bolivian altiplano to the highest capital in the world – La Paz. Bolivia is a stunning country, we explore Sucre with its lovely whitewashed buildings and cobbled streets and the old silver mining town of Potosi. Sure to be a highlight is the spectacular and expansive salt plains of Uyuni – dramatic, beautiful and the largest in the world.
