With over 30 years in the travel industry, Charlie, aka our fearless leader, loves travelling to the most remote places on the planet on his quest to discover new and exciting experiences for you to enjoy. First travelling as a passenger on an overland trip through East Africa, Charlie has visited a huge number of destinations including Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana and South Africa, Central Asia and India. Having both travelled on and led a number of exciting trips, Charlie is perfectly placed to design creative and imaginative trips to all four corners of the globe and finds tailor-making trips is one of the most exciting parts of the business!

LESLEY CLARK

Lesley joined the Imaginative Traveller team in the summer of 2017, returning to her native East Anglia to put down roots after years of peripetetic globe trotting. Lesley's vast independent travel experience, combined with customer facing roles in the travel and tourisim industry, leave her perfectly equipped to understand the needs of our most discerning tailor-made travellers and create truly unique and imaginative itineraries.

"Ooh wow, what an absolutely fantastic adventure, it really didn’t disappoint. It is just a shame that it is all over, but we have strengthened friendships and made memories for ever. From mint tea and bucket loads of houmous to hearing all about the history of Jordan and visiting the sites of antiquities. Our very own guide Yousef, 'the best guide in the world', went out of his way to please, to ensure all the plans made us happy. Our driver Ismail (007) was excellent, the minibus was the best vehicle I have ever experienced for group transport, generous headroom and an escape hatch in the roof. We felt very safe. I particularly enjoyed the hiking and on reflection, I would have chosen to do more of this than the cycling. The couple of days I had hiking more than compensated for the lower mileage on the bikes (due to flight delay and extreme wind). Rather tempted to return and do the six day hike around Petra but other places are calling... Thank you for planning such a fabulous trip for us all."
