Water filtration system
Single Use Plastics
Every year 8 million tonnes of plastic litter accumulate in our oceans, killing marine life and entering the human food chain.
In 2017 a million plastic bottles were bought around the world every minute which equates to about 20,000 bottles being bought every second! Part of the demand is being driven by an insatiable but unnecessary demand for bottled water. Most plastic bottles used for soft drinks and water are made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) which is highly recyclable but sadly as their use has steadily increased, efforts to collect and recycle the bottles has not kept up leaving the plastic bottles to pollute our lands and oceans. Also some countries are moving towards single use plastic bans such as Tanzania where Water to Go is a great option. Re-usable Plastics
At Imaginative Traveller we are committed to the reduction of plastic waste and for this reason we actively encourage our customers to use refillable water bottles. We have teamed up with Water to Go who sell refillable filter water bottles and we are able to offer Imaginative Traveller customers a 25% discount on Water to Go bottles and filters using the code IT25 and the following link https://www.watertogo.eu/imaginativetraveller
Each filter will filter 200 litres of water and if you drink 2 litres of water per day, this equates to 100 days or just over 3 months, so if you are planning a longer trip, we would suggest that you also purchase a spare filter.
Hopefully we can together, albeit in a small way, do our bit to reduce plastic waste on our planet.
